PANGASINAN — Five police chiefs in Pangasinan have been relieved of their posts, the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPPO) confirmed on Tuesday.
The affected towns include Calasiao, Laoac, Pozorrubio, Bani, and San Quintin. The reassignment took place during a formal turnover of command led by PPPO Deputy Provincial Director for Administration P/Lt. Col. Marceliano A. Desamito Jr. and Deputy Provincial Director for Operations P/Lt. Col. Jose L. Abaya II, under Provincial Director P/Col. Arbel C. Mercullo.
The officers relieved of duty are P/Lt. Col. Ferdinand S. Lopez (Calasiao); P/Maj. Napoleon M. Elleccion Jr. (Laoac); P/Maj. Jordan C. Tomas (Pozorrubio); P/Maj. Dennis B. Cabigat, officer-in-charge (Bani); and P/Capt. Jim C. Valdez, officer-in-charge (San Quintin).
Their replacements have been named as P/Lt. Col. Quintin T. Casabar Jr. (Calasiao), P/Maj. Ramsey B. Ganaban (Laoac), P/Maj. Elleccion Jr. (Pozorrubio), P/Maj. Tomas (Bani), and P/Capt. Joseph N. Mother (San Quintin).
The PPPO has not provided details regarding the reasons behind the reassignments.
