MANILA — A host of Filipino stars, including Ogie Alcasid, Ice Seguerra, Iza Calzado, and Janno Gibbs, are coming together to raise their voices against corruption at the “People Power @40 sa QC: The Kick-Off Concert” on February 21.
The concert, organized by Mayors for Good Governance (M4GG) and the Kaya Natin! Movement for Good Governance and Ethical Leadership, commemorates 40 years since the Edsa People Power Revolution. Under the theme “Awit at Aksyon Kontra Korapsyon” (Songs and Action Against Corruption), the event uses music and art to inspire civic engagement and ethical leadership.
“The unity of our fellow citizens 40 years ago—carrying rosaries, flowers, and their hearts—helped the nation break free from an unjust system without violence. Today, we draw on that same spirit: through art, music, and collective action, we can overcome corruption together,” organizers said.
They also noted, “The essence of People Power lives on in those who speak up, take action, and care for their communities.”
The concert will run from 4 p.m. at Quezon Memorial Circle.
Other performers joining the lineup include Rivermaya, Ogie Diaz, Mama Loi, Ebe Dancel, Bea Binene, Pio Balbuena, Elmo and Arkin Magalona, Nica Del Rosario, Amiel Sol, Earl Agustin, Chelsea Alley, Over October, Femme MNL, Morobeats, Madeline, Hey Moonshine, Stonefree, Chloe Redondo, Jkris Dantes, Crispin, Sisa and Bassilyo, TSN Drag, DJ Jhaiho, Mz. Chronicles, and Jasmine Dudley-Scales.
Popular actor-host Vice Ganda was also expected to make a special appearance.
