MANILA, Philippines — Tropical Storm Maymay continues to influence weather conditions over the country, with the southwest monsoon expected to bring cloudy skies and frequent rains across much of Luzon on Wednesday.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said areas in Northern Luzon will likely experience moderate to heavy rains, while Metro Manila and nearby provinces may see occasional downpours accompanied by thunderstorms.

The weather bureau warned residents in vulnerable areas to stay alert for possible flooding, landslides, and swollen rivers, especially where prolonged rainfall occurs.

Sea travel may also become risky in areas affected by rough seas, prompting fishermen and operators of small vessels to heed advisories from local authorities.

PAGASA continues to monitor the movement of Tropical Storm Maymay and advised the public to stay updated through its official bulletins as weather conditions may change rapidly.
