NEW YORK — The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has once again called on the public to help locate televangelist Apollo Quiboloy and two alleged close associates, as US authorities pursue human trafficking cases against them.
In a renewed social media advisory, the FBI’s Dallas Field Office featured Quiboloy on its “Most Wanted” list for human trafficking, along with Teresita Tolibas Dandan and Helen Panilag. The bureau urged individuals with information on their whereabouts to contact the FBI through its hotline at 1-800-CALL-FBI, reach out to the nearest US embassy or consulate, or submit tips via its official website.
The reposted alert comes as the Philippine government continues to wait for a formal extradition request from the United States. Quiboloy was arrested in Davao City in August 2024 and is currently being held at the Pasig City Jail. He appeared before the Pasig Regional Trial Court on Thursday for the ongoing proceedings related to human trafficking charges filed locally.
Philippine Ambassador to the United States Jose Manuel “Babe” Romualdez said in September last year that Washington was expected to submit an official extradition request. He explained that the Department of Foreign Affairs is awaiting the formal diplomatic communication required to initiate the process.
Quiboloy, founder of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ, was indicted in California in 2021 on charges that include sex trafficking of minors, wire fraud conspiracy, and bulk cash smuggling.
Romualdez noted that any decision to extradite Quiboloy while he faces cases in the Philippines would be made by the Department of Justice.
According to the FBI, Quiboloy and his alleged associates are accused of participating in a prolonged human trafficking scheme, details of which are outlined in the bureau’s online fugitive profiles.
