MANILA — The country will remain under generally warm and humid weather today, with partly sunny skies in some areas giving way to increasing cloudiness and possible thunderstorms.

Localized rain showers may occur during the day, with some thunderstorms expected to bring brief but heavy rainfall. Gusty winds and lightning may also accompany stronger thunderstorms.

Communities located near rivers, creeks and other flood-prone areas should stay vigilant, particularly when heavy rain persists. Travelers are also advised to allow extra time on the road because sudden downpours may affect visibility and traffic conditions.

The unsettled weather is expected to persist tomorrow, Wednesday, when mostly cloudy skies and scattered thunderstorms may again affect parts of the country.

Morning thunderstorms could be followed by additional thundery showers in the afternoon, while temperatures remain warm, with daytime readings reaching around 30 to 31 degrees Celsius in many areas.

The weather bureau advises the public to monitor updated forecasts and local advisories as conditions can change quickly.

Those planning outdoor activities are encouraged to prepare for possible rain and thunderstorms, especially during the afternoon and evening.
