MANILA — The prevailing easterlies will continue to influence weather conditions across the Philippines, bringing a mix of cloudy skies and scattered rainfall in several regions, according to PAGASA’s latest forecast.
The Visayas and much of Mindanao, including Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula, Davao Oriental, Davao de Oro, and Basilan, are expected to experience cloudy skies with rain showers and thunderstorms. Similar conditions are forecast over Sorsogon, Masbate, and Palawan.
These weather disturbances may lead to flash floods or landslides, particularly in areas experiencing moderate to heavy rainfall.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and other parts of the country can expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers, mostly in the afternoon or evening. PAGASA cautioned that intense thunderstorms could still result in localized flooding.
Wind conditions remain generally light to moderate nationwide. Northern Luzon will experience easterly to southeasterly winds, while the rest of the country will have winds coming from the east to northeast. Sea conditions will be slight to moderate.
Data from PAGASA’s monitoring station in Quezon City showed temperatures ranging from 25.0°C to 35.3°C over the past 24 hours, with relative humidity between 43 percent and 78 percent.
